Our Commitment to Universal Access
At Ecampus Africa, our mission is to empower every African professional and student through practical, barrier-free education. We believe that physical disabilities, visual impairments, hearing limitations, or neurological differences must never stand between an ambitious learner and career advancement.
We continually engineer, audit, and refine our platform to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards established by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
1. Full Keyboard Navigation
All core features—including navigation menus, catalog filters, course enrollment, interactive slides, and assessment quizzes—can be operated using standard keyboard keystrokes (Tab, Enter, Space, and arrow keys). Visible focus rings are permanently enabled.
2. Screen Reader Compatibility
Our markup adheres strictly to semantic HTML5 standards. Meaningful images include descriptive alternative text (alt), interactive controls feature unambiguous ARIA attributes, and form fields are permanently bound to explicit labels for NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, and TalkBack screen readers.
3. High Contrast & Typography
Colors meet or exceed the 4.5:1 contrast ratio required for normal body text under WCAG AA specifications. Our primary typography, Plus Jakarta Sans, offers high legibility across low-resolution mobile displays and allows learners to zoom up to 200% without horizontal content clipping.
4. Multi-Modal Content & Audio
Interactive course modules are complemented with audio narration and written transcripts. This multi-modal delivery ensures that learners with visual impairments or reading difficulties can assimilate course lessons through voice and sound.

Known Limitations & Continuous Improvement
While we strive for comprehensive accessibility across our entire course catalog, certain legacy SCORM 1.2 interactive packages created by third-party training partners may have limited screen-reader narration inside specific embedded canvas elements.
We are actively converting these legacy modules to open HTML5 responsive formats. If you encounter any module that is not accessible with your assistive technology, please notify us using the form below and we will provide an alternate text transcript within 48 hours.
